Gary J. Dionne, age 63, husband of Lisa (Rossetti) Dionne, died Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston following a brief illness.  Born in Salem, he is the son of Elisha Dionne, Jr and Eleanor (Hughes) Dionne.  Gary attended Saltonstall School and Salem high School.  His career was in construction, mainly roofing and insulation and later in his career he was a handyman.  He lived in Salem until 2023.

Gary was a fan of all Boston major league sports teams, though recently his favorite NFL player was Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.  Throughout his life, he loved saltwater fishing and seafood of all varieties.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are his daughter Sarah Dionne of Salem, son Daniel Dionne of Lynn, grandchildren Alexis Jade Strouble of Lynn and Jace Strouble of Braintree, nephew Justin Dionne-Hughes of Springfield, VT and sister Sandra Dionne of Randolph plus several cousins.  He was also the brother of the late Judy L. Dionne.
