Fred Armstrong, Esquire, age 58, husband of Patty (Dwyre) Armstrong of Marblehead, died at home unexpectedly Saturday afternoon.

Born in Quincy the son of the late Earle and Anita (Abbott) Armstrong, he was raised in
Braintree and attended ThayerAcademy. Following his graduation from BraintreeHigh
School in the Class of 1969, Fred received his Bachelor's degree from SuffolkUniversity and his JD from New England Law School.



His professional interests were varied and included practicing law, being a partner in Jonquil's Restaurant in Ipswich and most recently as a salesman for Ira Subaru in Danvers. Mr. Armstrong had also run as a candidate for Marblehead Town Clerk in the 2006 elections.



A dedicated husband and loving father he enjoyed being with his family and especially loved to cook for them. His daughter Hailey was truly the light of his life.



In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Hailey Armstrong of
Marblehead; a sister Audrey Ellis and her husband Paul of Christ Church, New Zealand, numerous cousins, brothers and sisters in-law and their children and his faithful Labrador, "Lily".

His funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 30, 2009 at 10:30
A.M. in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. At the family's
request there at no visiting hours.
