Obituary

Beverly  - Frank Elliott Rowand, 91, passed away at the Hunt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, after a long struggle with heart disease. Born in Salem to Melville and Melba Rowand, Frank went on to graduate from Salem High School. In 1959 he opened Rowand's Fish Market in Beverly. When not serving up one of his famous lobster rolls, Frank enjoyed racing sailboats for over 60 years as a part of the racing community in Marblehead.

Frank is predeceased by his parents, Melville and Melba Rowand. Frank is survived by his children, David Rowand, of Salem; Deborah Lewis, of Danvers; and Dana Rowand, of Beverly, several grandchildren, his brother Malcolm "Mal" Rowand of Florida, his dear friend Patricia Dearborn, of Danvers; and his pet dog Chelsey. Frank is also survived by his former wives Diane Rowand Burns, and Priscilla Wilson Rowand. Frank is also predeceased by his brother Carlton "Hap" Rowand of Florida.
