Francis C. Pappalardo, age 93, husband of the late Dora (Brault) Pappalardo, of Salem died on Saturday December 29, 2012 in the Lafayette Nursing Home Marblehead.
Born in Salem the son of the late Joseph and Edith (Gattinella) Pappalardo, he was raised and educated in Salem schools. During World War II he proudly joined the United States Army. Following his discharge he worked with his brothers in the plumbing and heating business. He later became employed by the City of Salem Park Department for more than 30 years until his retirement.
He is survived by a daughter Linda and her husband John Charbonneau of Salem; three stepchildren Pauline Billings of Peabody, Norman Sicotte of New Hampshire and Raymond Sicotte of California; two grandchildren Alison Charbonneau and Kimberly Hanson a one great grandchild Brody Hanson.
He was predeceased by two sisters Mildred Swiniarski and Sandra Cirinna, and three brothers, Sebastian and Paul Pappalardo and Samuel Papalardo.
His funeral will be held on Friday at 9:15 AM from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St (corner of North St) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin St, Peabody, MA 01960. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Vistint hours will be on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
