Frances "Frankie" Estelle Fusegni, aged 88, passed away on Monday December 28 th at the Residence at Vinnin Square.
Frances was born in Portsmouth New Hampshire to Francis O and Margaret Alice Stevens on November 10 th , 1932. Frances grew up as an only child, as her older sister Estelle Stevens passed away from Scarlet Fever when she was five years old, before Frances was born. Frances grew up in Portsmouth NH, and graduated from Portsmouth High School. On December 29 th , 1950 Frances married the love of her life Lewis J Fusegni, who was also of Portsmouth NH.
Frances and Lewis moved around a lot, settling in Portsmouth NH, Biloxi MS, Nahant MA, Peabody MA, Marblehead MA and Salem MA. Frances was a mother and housewife for many years, but she also worked at an answering service in Lynn MA, a branch of Eastern Savings Bank, and in the Marblehead School System as an aide. She was a member of the Harbor Women's Club in Marblehead MA, and a member of the St. John's Prep Women's Guild. Frances loved all sports, but she especially loved football. She was a loving wife and mother of four children, and she was a happy and friendly woman who gained friendships wherever she went and lived. She enjoyed her life to the fullest, and loved her many friends.
Frances is survived by her children; Joanne Fusegni Gibbons and her husband Michael of Berwick ME, Susan Fusegni Viselli and her husband James of Salem MA, John Francis Fusegni and his wife Mina Sgrosso Fusegni of Marblehead MA, and Sharon Fusegni Bartlett and her husband Philip of Huntington NY; her grandchildren Meaghan E. Desmond of Marshfield MA, Taylor L. Desmond of Salem MA, Alexander Fusegni of Medford MA, Olivia Fusegni of Marblehead MA, Mackenzie Bartlett Dull and her husband Mitchell Dull of Westborough MA, and Jarrod Bartlett of Charleston SC; and her great-grandchildren Kylie Desmond of Amesbury MA and Alexis Desmond of Amesbury MA.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions the services are private and under the direction of the Murphy Funeral Home. Frances will be returned to her ancestral home in Portsmouth NH for burial.
