Filomena Correia Morton of Peabody, Massachusetts passed away suddenly on Christmas morning, December 25, 2025, at the age of 60 years old.
She was born on March 17, 1965, in Salem, Massachusetts as the proud and only daughter of Ramiro G. Correia and Maria Alda (Cordeiro) Correia. One of her greatest pleasures in life was being their daughter. Her family feels at peace knowing she has been reunited with her parents and dearest dog, Sea-Sea.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Robert Paul Morton, her three children whom she loved very much, Jackson Paul Morton, Marissa Eve Morton, and Gabrielle Elise Morton, her beautiful daughter-in-law Pinkal Patel, her cherished grandson, Zayn Adão Morton, and her granddogs, Kona and Juniper. She is loved deeply by many cousins and lifelong friends.
She worked for Mass General Brigham for over two decades and was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Lynnfield, Massachusetts. She loved to spend her mornings drinking coffee and reading a book. Filomena is remembered for her funny, feisty, and fabulous spirit. Her selfless nature meant she was always caring for others, and her loss is profoundly felt.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home at 85 Federal Street Salem, Massachusetts 01970. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 127 Summer Street Lynnfield, Massachusetts 01940. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Heart Association and the National Organization for Rare Diseases.
