Fernande (Norbert) Tremblay, age 92, wife of the late Roger Joseph Tremblay, formerly of Albion St., Salem, and more recently of Boxford, died early Sunday morning, December 15, 2013, at Masconomet Health Care, Topsfield, MA following a lengthy illness.
Born in Quebec, Canada, one of nine children, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elise (LeVeille) Norbert, she attended local schools in Quebec, Canada. Following her marriage to her late husband in 1945 they moved to Albion St., Salem. Once she became acclimated to the area she became employed by the former Carusso Coiffures in Danvers where she was employed for several years.
Her favorite time of the year was the Holidays, and being around her family. She was dedicated to her faith and often participated in song in the choir loft of St. James Church, Salem.
She is survived by a son Norman Tremblay of Boston, two daughters, Claire Fryberg wife of Gordon of Salisbury, MA and Pauline Tremblay and friend Dana Leighton of Boxford, four brothers who still reside in Canada and a grandson, Brian Tremblay of Worcester and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 10:00 A.M in St James Church, 156 Federal St, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Friday, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Murphy Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
