F. Bernice "G.G" (Green) Reece, age 84, of Salem, wife of the late Robert E. Reece Sr., died on Sunday, December 15, 2013 surrounded by family.

Born in Monroe, Mississippi the daughter of the late Vardaman and Exie (Cantrell) Green, she was raised and educated in local schools. She and her late husband married, moved to Schenectady, NY where they lived for several years. They later moved to Salem where she became employed by E G and G and later at Varian until her retirement.

She was an avid gardener, and took great pride in her flowers. An occasional visitor of Foxwoods, she enjoyed going to auctions. Her hands were always busy with craft, either knitting or crotchet which she shared with family and friends.

She is survived by two children, Robert E. Reece Jr. and his wife Sandy of Peabody and Linda S. Parsons of Salem; sister, Annie Ruth Stevens of Mississippi; a sister in law Janet Northcutt of Colorado; three grandchildren, Ryan Parsons and his wife Michelle of Amesbury, Garrett Parsons and his wife, Karolyn of Salem and James Reece of Peabody; six great grandchildren, Julia, Nathan, and Andrew Parsons and Xavier, Deacon and Eli Parsons and her cat, Abby. She was predeceased by a brother Graden "Douglas" Green. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. (corner of North St) Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. At the family's request there are no visiting hours.
