Marblehead – Estella M. (Provencher) Marshall, wife of the late John J. Marshall, II, died Saturday evening, March 3, 2018 at The Lafayette in Marblehead. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Philios and Sarah (Lantagne) Provencher.
Mrs. Marshall had been employed with Sylvania in Danvers and Woburn and was also employed with Jordan Marsh and Newbury's. She enjoyed working with Salem Hospital as a fund raiser and also helping as a volunteer on the cancer floor. She loved to garden, bake, knit, crochet, sew and she was a great babysitter for her grandchildren. She had also been a Brownie and Cub Scout Leader.
Mrs. Marshall shared almost 60 years of marriage with her husband John. They had lived in Belleview, Florida for 13 years. When John passed, she returned to Massachusetts and had lived in Beverly and Salem.
Mrs. Marshall passed away at The Lafayette where she had lived for the past 3 years. She was very happy there and had excellent care. We want to also thank Eva, who she called her other daughter. She was very special to our Mother.
Surviving her are Joyce and Charles Walsh of Salem, Sandra and Daniel Appleton of Bluffton, SC, Philip Marshal of Salt Lake City UT, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was pre deceased by her brothers and sisters, Yvonne Sekos, Loretta Dufour, Sylvio, Andre, George, James, Raymond, William, and Fernand Provencher.
