IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth
Reardon
July 22, 1948 – June 24, 2019
Salem- Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Reardon (70) passed away with her family by her side on the afternoon of Monday June 24, 2019 at Salem Hospital. Born in Salem, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Marie (Nogueira) and Henry Reardon.
Throughout her life, she attended both St. Thomas and then St. James for High School. After she graduated, she went onto work for Rich's Department store in Salem before moving onto working as a Clerk in the Registry of Deeds in Salem, where she made some of her closest friends to this day.
Outside of her work however, she spent her time traveling around the world and playing BINGO here in Salem. She loved to spend time with her family and cared for others, even after she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and had to retire from work early on in her career. Although she battled her condition, her genuine acts of selflessness and thinking of others always shined through. She will be dearly missed for her loving nature to all who knew her.
Elizabeth is survived by: her brother Retired Sheriff Charles H. Reardon and his wife Elaine of Salem, her brother John F. Reardon and his wife Donna of Georgetown, her brother Neil Reardon and his wife Mary of Salem; her 8 nieces and nephews; her dear friends Jane and Sandy from the Registry of Deeds; and a large extended family. A special thank you to the loving care and support of Elizabeth's friends and nurses at Life Care Nursing home for all they did for Elizabeth over the 17 years she was there.
