Obituary

Beverly, MA — Elizabeth "Liz" (Styczko) Powers, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 27, 2023 with her loving daughter Amanda by her side.

A celebration of Liz's life will be held at the Franco-American Club in Beverly, Ma on Saturday April 13th,  2024 from 12-4 PM. In honor of Liz, please feel free to come to the celebration wearing neon colored clothing to honor and celebrate her vivid  and colorful spirit and personality. She was a very wonderful, loving, fun, and one of a kind person, who is already so very missed by all!

Liz was born and raised in Salem, Massachusetts, and was the daughter of  the late Regina M. (Zielski) Styczko and Anthony H. Styczko.

Liz worked in retail for many years until an injury made her unable to work. Family and friends meant the most to Liz and she was always there to help and support them in any way she could. She was a major support and caregiver to her mom Regina throughout her life. Liz enjoyed, Bingo, occasional trips to Foxwoods, bargain hunting, collecting eagles, Salem willows popcorn, her ever-present Dunkin Donuts coffee, and traveling with her with family and friends.

Liz was also a long-time member of the Franco-American club in Beverly where she formed many close and lasting friendships.

Never one to keep her opinion to herself, Liz was known for being truthful to fault and just saying things as they are. These qualities, as well as too many other to mention, endeared her to her family and friends, who will miss her truth, honesty, and laughter each and every day.

She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Powers of Dracut MA who was the light of her life, best friend,  and was a source of such pride and love as she watched her grow. She also leaves behind her siblings Paul Styczko (and wife Ellen and family) of Peabody, John Styczko (and his wife Carol and family) of Gloucester,  Joseph Styczko of Salem, her nephew Robert Styczko,   niece Nicole Taylor, and Liz's  former husband James Powers (Amanda's father).

She also leaves behind numerous cousins and very close friends that she has had throughout her life, whose families were a part of her own,

Liz was predeceased by her siblings Joanna Styczko, Richard Styczko, and Thomas Styczko.
