Elizabeth P. "Polly" (Clement) Keresey, age 83 years, wife of the late Henry F. Keresey, died Wednesday November 22, 2017 at the NSMC-Salem Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Tewksbury, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Clement) Hart. Elizabeth was a graduate of Athol High School, she continued her education at the Henry Heywood Memorial Hospital Nursing School where she graduated as a registered nurse. She was employed with the Hospital for many years as a night nursing supervisor. She relocated to Salem and was employed with the Hunt Memorial Hospital in Danvers working in the Emergency Department until her retirement in the late 1990's. Elizabeth was very proud of being a Registered Nurse.
Mrs. Keresey had been a resident of the Fairweather Apartments in Salem for 20 years. She was very dedicated to her family and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with them. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Surviving her are her two children, Anne Tyler and Gary Keresey and his wife Margaret, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and her cat Charlie. She was predeceased by her two children, Kathleen Shaw and Mark Keresey.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. (corner of North St.), Salem, MA on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 4 to 7PM. Gathering for her funeral will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 9 to 10:30AM at the Murphy Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial taking place at 11AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorne Blvd., Salem, MA 01970.
