Salem……
Elizabeth (Crockett) Loubris, of Salem, died Friday October 30, 2009 at home surrounded by her children.
Born in New York, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alyce (Guy) Crockett, she was raised and educated in Salem, graduating from Ste. Chretienne Academy.
Mrs. Loubris was a registered radiologist for several years until becoming a certified food service supervisor. She was employed by Twin Oaks Nursing Home in Danvers, and later by North Shore Elder Services until her retirement.
Affectionately known as, "Betty", she had a great love for her family, the beach and travel. She will be remembered by her children as a wonderful mom and dad, and by her grandchildren as their loving, "Memere", and will be greatly missed by all.
Mrs. Loubris is survived by her four children, Joyce Loubris of Salem, Jay Loubris of Erving, MA, Judy Berry of Danvers and Scott Loubris and his wife Patty of Beverly and three grandchildren Katy, Hannah and Taylor Loubris.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8:15 A.M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (corner of North St.) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 9:00 A.M. in St. Anne Church, 292 Jefferson Ave., Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
