Peabody……
Eleanor F. (Annis) Koshgarian, age 88, wife of the late Vahey "Wire" Koshgarian, of Peabody, died Tuesday morning, January 10, 2012 in Beverly Hospital.
She was born and educated in Peabody, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary A. (Barrowclough) Annis and graduated from Essex Agricultural School.
Gifted with talent, she was both an accomplished and active artist. Mrs. Koshgarian taught at her Alma Mata, Essex Agricultural School in the Evening Adult and Community Classes in arts for over 20 years, inspiring artists of all ages. She had also operated her own studio at home teaching Early American Design.
She also reached out to the "seniors" in Salem's Council on Aging where she taught oil painting. Through the Bay State Council Boy Scouts, she reached out to the area youth as merit badge counselor for local Boy Scout Troops.
Mrs. Koshgarian was a member of the Historical Society of Early American Decoration- Strawberry Bank Chapter, the Beverly Guild of Artist (as an oil painting exhibiting member in graphic art), the Lynnfield Art Guild (as an exhibiting member), the porcelain artist guild of New England and the New England Rosemalling Association and an active member of the North Shore Unitarian Universalist Church.
Predeceased by two children, Carmen Marie Koshgarian and David Vahey Koshgarian, she is survived by a son Allen Vahey Koshgarian of Salem; two nieces Leona Callahan and Paula Ananian both of Upland, CA and several cousins.
