Salem- In loving memory of the cherished Edward Julien Walsh, who passed away surrounded by his loving family at the age of 56 in Salem, MA on Tuesday June 4, 2024. The youngest child of five, Edward was born on June 21, 1967 and was the son of Evelyn (Julien) and the late John Walsh.

Edward's journey began at Salem High School, where he laid the foundation for a successful career where he graduated from in 1986. He embraced his passion for beauty and craftsmanship, later obtaining his cosmetology certificate from North Shore Technical Vocational School. In 1996, he established "Julien Hair Networx," a salon in Salem that became synonymous with his exceptional skills as a stylist and colorist. Over 28 years, Edward gained a loyal clientele, who valued not only his talent but also his warm and compassionate demeanor.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Edward found profound joy in his role as a family man. He married and raised a loving family, finding immense pride and joy in his sons, who were his world. Edward's interests were diverse, reflecting his vibrant spirit. He cherished moments of peace and mindfulness through yoga, and he held a passion for fitness. Additionally, Edward took delight in collecting statues and figurines, each piece a reflection of his unique personality.

Edward's legacy resonates through the lives he touched, his memory a treasure to all who knew him. His warmth and kindness endeared him to many, creating enduring connections that transcend time. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life well-lived and a heart that knew immense love.

Edward Julien Walsh is survived by his son Donnie Walsh of El Cerrito, CA, his son Brandon Walsh of Danvers, his former wife Amy Walsh of Danvers, his mother Evelyn Walsh of Salem, his sister Michele (Joe) Castellucci of Nashua, NH, his sister Julie Walsh of Beverly, his sister Maureen (Lee) Davis of Salem,  his brother Michael of Salem, his nieces and nephews Amanda (Steve) Morrison of Billerica, Angela (Patrick) McReynolds of Lowell, Matthew (Tiffany) of Davis of Salem, Anthony (Kayla) Castellucci of Southbridge, MA, Lauren (Nate)Thompson of Salem, Seanna Walsh-Quill of Beverly, Shannon (fiancé Noah Hwang) Davis of Salem, several great nieces and nephews, as well as countless friends.

A Celebration of Life of will be held on Monday June 10, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, located at 85 Federal St. Salem.
