Edward J. Gallagher, age 61, of Lynn died early Friday morning February 15, 2008 in Salem Hospital.
Born in Somerville the son of the late Joseph and Letitia (Doherty) Gallagher he was educated in Boston Schools. During the Viet Nam War, Mr. Gallagher was stationed overseas in the United States Army and was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal.
He is survived by three cousins Kathleen S. Pooton and Letitia Dixon both of Silver Spring, MD and Edwina McDaniel of Sibley, LA.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral services on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem. Visitation will be immediately before the services from 10 to 11 A.M. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
