Obituary

Peabody —

On Thursday November 29 we lost our beloved mother and friend Dottie Longo. She passed away at The Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her loving family following a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
Dottie was born in Boston and always referred to herself as a "Southie".
She was the daughter of the late James and Annette Keegan. She was the wife of Richard Longo who predeceased her.

She is survived by her daughter Laura Hutter and her husband George, her son Kenneth Ahl and her daughter Susan Tgettis and her husband Steve. She has two cherished grandsons Christopher Hutter and Robby Shartrand. She is also survived by her sisters Gladys and Barbara as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dottie was known for her cheerful disposition and humor which was present even as she battled painful pancreatic cancer. She enjoyed the simple things of life. She loved music and dance and also just sitting to look at the ocean. Dottie was a woman of strong faith and was an active member of the Peabody, MA Kingdom Hall of of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in February of 1975 and enjoyed talking about her faith in a friendly and sincere manner. She was a devoted mother to her three children and their families. Dottie was perhaps best known as caring for her children and always putting them before herself. She loved people and had warm and lasting relationships throughout the northeast and Canada.
