Dorothy Ann (Hunt) Lund passed peacefully on Friday, Dec. 18, at the Care One Nursing facility in Peabody, MA, after a long illness. Dorothy was born in Brookline, MA in 1928, where she lived until her marriage to John I. Lund in 1947. She then lived in Marblehead, MA, where she raised her 7 children. Her later years were spent in Wakefield, NH and Lynn, MA.
After raising her children, Dorothy spent over 20 years as the cook for the rectory at Our
Lady Star of the Sea Church in Marblehead. Dorothy also sang in the choir for many years and was a devout Catholic. In Wakefield, NH, she sang in the choir and taught CCD to the young children. She also enjoyed her Teddy Tear craft club during her time in Wakefield.
Dorothy is pre-deceased by her former husband, John I. Lund and her daughter,Anna E. Clark. She leaves behind her daughter, Andrea Kangas and husband Chip, her sons;John Lund and his wife Joanne, Robert Lund and wife Jan, Stephen Lund and wife Jan,James and wife Shauneen, and Michael Lund. Dorothy also leaves 8 grandchildren and 4 geatgrandchildren.

There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady Star of the Sea
Church, 80 Atlantic Ave, Marblehead at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, Dec.22. Burial in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead.
