MARBLEHEAD – Dorothy G. (Harrison) Hogan, beloved wife of the late L. Timothy Hogan, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 30 ^th .

She was born in Providence, RI to John and Margaret (Hill) Harrison.  She grew up in Salem and spent many summers in Maine.  She graduated from St. Mary's High School and Bryant & Stratton Commercial School and went on to work for the government as a secretary during WWII.

She married Tim in 1951 and moved to Marblehead where together they raised three daughters.  When she returned to the work force, she worked for I.I.I., an engineering Company, the Marblehead Electric Light Department and Water Department.

She and Tim spent many years in the water on their sailboat, and upon retiring, spent winters in Florida.  Dorothy loved her family, to travel, bowl, play golf, was an avid knitter and enjoyed reading and needlepoint.

Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, her late husband and daughter Brenda Mastrullo.  She is survived by daughters Cynthia A. Hutchinson (Dana) and Susan M. Hogan; 7 grandchildren Sarah Sosnowski (William), Stash Durkee (Erin), Timothy Hutchinson, Rebecca Hutchinson, Patrick Sylvester, Sean Sylvester & Cameron Sylvester; and 6 great grandchildren Keagan & Lily Durkee, Diedra & Dylan Hutchinson and Mackenzie & Mikaela Sosnowski.
