Dorothy M. (Ahern) Curran, age 82, wife of Robert Curran, of Salem, died Friday evening April 19, 2013 in the Bertram House, Swampscott, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Lynn, the daughter of the late Henry and Marie (Gallagher) Ahern, she was raised and educated in Salem schools, graduating from Salem High School in the Class of 1948. Mrs. Curran was a supervisor of the New England Telephone Company on Norman St, Salem and retired as a supervisor.
An avid gardener, she is a former President of the Salem Garden Club.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter Lisa of California, her brother Henry Ahern, Jr. of Beverly, and a sister Mary Ahern of Salem.
She was predeceased by two daughters Lori and Lacy.
