SALEM – Dorothy L. (Baxter) Arrigo, age 95, wife of the late Joseph Arrigo and the daughter of the late William and Louise (Englehardt) Baxter.  Born in Salem, she was a lifelong resident of Salem, MA.

Dorothy was a waitress at Misty Acres Restaurant in Essex and worked in Salem School Lunch Program for 20 years.  She was an award-winning knitter and taught knitting in Peabody, Beverly and Salem Adult Education Programs.

Surviving her is her sister Jean Burke of Salem, her 3 children, Steven "Luke" Arrigo and Jan Arrigo both of Salem and Barbara McIntire of Epping, NH, 5 grandchildren Nicole Marcin, Shawna Maniatis, Justin Arrigo, Janelle Ingalls, Marci Feyerabend, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister Margaret Smith.

Visiting hours are Thursday July 1, 2021 at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St, Corner of North St, Salem, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.  Her Funeral Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorn Blvd, Salem on Friday July 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.  Burial following services at St. Mary cemetery Salem.  For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.  For additional information or online register book please call 978-744-0497 or visit www.MurphyFuneralHome.com .
