Doris C. Swenbeck passed away on May 24, 2022, surrounded by her family. Born on July 29, 1934, she was the beloved only child of Valentine and Doris Greeley. Doris was the cherished wife of the late John D. Swenbeck. They resided in the Salem Willows for over sixty years.
Doris was a gifted artist and writer and published a novel. She loved to sew and was a talented seamstress. She was an avid gardener and one of her greatest joys and passions was being in her garden.
Doris was an intrepid and independent world traveler, and she leaves many beloved friends from across the globe including Australia, The Netherlands, Germany, and India. For many years, Doris traveled annually to Udaipur India. She considered Udaipur her second home where she has many dear friends.
