Peabody - Doris T. Fournier, age 84 years, died peacefully December 20, 2018 at Sunrise at Gardner Park.  Doris was born in Salem, daughter of the late Joseph L. and Onelda M. (Goucher) Fournier.  She was a lifelong resident in Salem as well as a lifelong parishioner of Ste. Anne Church.  Doris was a very dedicated and active member of Ste. Anne's serving on numerous committees as well as President of the League of Catholic Women.  Doris graduated from St. Anne School, St. Chretienne Academy, Salem Teacher's College and received her Masters Degree from Salem State College.  Prior to her retirement she was a teacher in Ipswich Schools for 40 years.  She taught at the Ralph C. Whipple Middle School and while at the Ipswich High School she was chairperson of the Math Department for many years.  She was a life member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association and National Education Association.  Doris enjoyed dining out, travelling and the theatre. Surviving her are several cousins.

Her visiting hours will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., corner of North Street, Salem, on Friday December 28, 2018 from 3 to 6 p.m.  Her Funeral Mass will be held at Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave, Salem, MA 01970 at 9:30 A.M.  Internment in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to  Ste.
