Salem……

Dominic J. "Jersey" DeMartino age 18 of Salem formerly of New Jersey, died Thursday, October 18, 2012 from injuries sustained from a train accident.

Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, he was raised and educated in Barnegat, NJ until moving to Salem four years ago. Dominic was a frequently seen around Salem and Beverly pursing his passion for skateboarding. He was also an avid gardener.

He is survived by his mother Robyn and his stepfather Mike Mortola of Salem; his father Brian DeMartino of Sayerville, NJ; his brothers and sisters Ryan Mortola of NJ, Kristine Mortola of Swampscott, Annie Mortola of Salem and Jonathon James DeMartino of NJ and a large extended family.


Visiting hours will be on Friday, October 26, 2012 in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St, corner of North St, Salem from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM to be followed by funeral services at 7:00 PM in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private. Dominic's family request that those who wish share INDOOR plants with his family to be used to establish family memorial gardens in Dominic's honor.
