Dolores L. (Brunet) Butler, age 82, beloved wife of Richard I. Butler, died Wednesday morning, July 22, 2015 at the Brigham Health and Rehabilitation in Newburyport, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Irene (Tardiff) Brunet. She had attended St. Ann's School, the Saltonstall School and graduated Salem High School in the class of 1951. She met her husband Richard and they started dating at the age of 15, and married in 1953. They have shared almost 62 years of marriage. They lived in Salem until moving to Rowley 12 years ago.
Mrs. Butler was employed with Delta Electronics for many years. She worked at the Park Street, Beverly location and continued with the company when they moved to their new location on Cabot Street in Beverly. She was an assembler for the company.
Mrs. Butler enjoyed making puzzles. She also loved to travel with her husband. Her favorite trips were to Aruba, Bermuda, Alaska, Hawaii and a couple of cruises. But most of all, she enjoyed time with her husband and family.
Surviving her in addition to her husband Richard are her children, Richard J. Butler and his wife Maryann of Groveland, Deborah Ann McKenzie and her husband John of Seabrook, NH, Laurie Lee Gello of Seabrook, NH, her grandchildren Tracy Roy, Joseph and Mellisa Gello, Richard J. Butler, Jr, Rachel Butler, Marc and Krista McKenzie, and her great grandchildren Arianna and Brandon Roy. She was one of nine children and is survived by Clarence Brunet of NH, Roger Brunet of Beverly and Dorothy Robicheau of NH and several nieces and nephews. She was also very close to her late sister Jeanette Beaulieu.
Her funeral services will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. (cor of North St.) Salem on Monday July 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday July 26, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
