Dennis Vincent Moustakis, 52, of Salem passed away on Saturday February 9, 2019 in his home in Beverly. Born in Salem, he was the son of Linda (Baldwin) and John Moustakis. Dennis was raised and educated in Salem and graduated Salem High School, class of 1984. Dennis attended North Shore Community College where he obtained his private pilot license, a long-time dream of his. He then continued his education at Salem State University and started his career in the restaurant business. His long time passion for cooking and entertaining flourished when he became the proud restaurant owner and head chef of The Edgewater Cafe, with locations in Magnolia and Salem, which thrived for over 14 years.

Throughout his life, Dennis found joy in being active outdoors with friends and family. Dennis loved the ocean and was certified in scuba diving and boating. He had many other hobbies including mountain biking, skiing, motor cycling, and listening to live music.

In addition to his parents, Dennis is survived by his step mother Beverly Moustakis, his daughters; Elise and Lorin Moustakis and his brother Christopher Moustakis, all of Salem.

Dennis had many friends throughout the North Shore who greatly enjoyed his energy and sense of humor. He will be remembered as was a loving father, son and brother.

Family and friends are invited visit at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal Street, Salem, MA on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 2-6 p.m. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday February 18, 2019 at the Immaculate Conception at 11:00 AM, located at 15 Hawthorne Blvd, Salem, MA.  Burial will be held private per the request of the family.
