Dennis F. Joly, 57, of Lowell, formerly of Georgetown and Marblehead, unexpectedly on March 31, 2010. Son of Edward Joly and the late Nancy Latham Joly of Georgetown. Devoted father of Caitilin Joly. Brother of Michael Joly and his wife Christine of E. Barnstead, NH, Erin Joly Pero and her husband James of Georgetown, Sean Joly and his wife Catrenia of Georgetown. Also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. As a toddler, Dennis emulated his dad; hammer in hand, fixing things around the house and carried these skills in his adult life. Dennis was quite versatile, whether fixing his car, building an addition on his home or honing his green thumb. After graduating Marblehead High school, Dennis worked as an Auto Appraiser but what he enjoyed most was spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid skier, a huge NASCAR fan and traveler. He took many trips with his daughter Caitie and cherished every moment spent with her. Never missing a recital or play, he was proud of her and her many accomplishments. Dennis will be remembered for his determination and mischievous smile. Always kind; never judgmental and generous to a fault. He is loved and missed by many.



Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal Street (cor of North St) Salem MA . Interment will be private. At the family's request there are no visiting hours.
