Dawn M. (Pelletier) Weston, age 47, of Danville, NH, formerly of Danvers, died at home Saturday evening following a courageous battle with cancer. She and her husband, Peter Weston, had celebrated 25 years of marriage on April 28th.
Born in Shreveport, LA, she spent her early years as a military child, the daughter the daughter of the late Retired United States Air Force Officer Donald R. Pelletier and Judith A. (Wonson) Pelletier. Her family eventually settled in Danvers, where Dawn graduated from Danvers High School in the Class of 1980 and then attended North Shore Community College.
A loving wife and committed mother, Mrs. Weston had been employed by Sandy Bay Apothecary in Rockport, later at Lyons Insurance Co in Waltham and more recently by Eastern Alarm Co in Plaistow, NH. Her true passion and calling in life was her family and community. She was an enabler and a loving caregiver, watching over both her mom and late brother, Gary, through their own illnesses.
While living in Danvers she had been active in the schools her children had attended until the family moved to Danville, NH. She was Co-chair of the Danville Recreation Department, Assistant Danville Town Treasurer, a member of the Friends of the Library in Danville and also served on the Director's Board of the Vic Geary Senior Center in Plaistow where she was always helping to provide activities including lunch, coffees and trips for the seniors. Since 2002, Mrs. Weston has been an active supporter of the Timberlane Regional High School Softball and Tennis Boosters organizations.
She was loved by all and will be missed by many.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters Caitlin and Emily Weston of Danville, NH; three nieces and one nephew Madison, Kelsey and Camryn Weston all of Hampstead, NH and William Weston of Grampian, PA as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother Gary Pelletier.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10:15 A.M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal ST (cor of North St) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. in St John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody, MA 01960. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
