David Wells "Digger", age 61, passed away peacefully at his home on May 6, 2017. Digger was the beloved husband of Sandra (Watson), whom he shared 30 loving years with.
Born in Bridgeport, CT to Albert and Clara (LeBlanc) Wells, the family moved to Salem, MA where he was raised and graduated from Salem High School. After high school graduation, Digger completed several classes specializing in machine operation.
Digger began his career as a motorcycle mechanic specializing in Harley Davidson Motorcycles at Salem Harley and North Shore Cycle. He worked at Black Death Cycles of Salisbury, where he enjoyed a long career.
Digger loved to ride and repair motorcycles. He rode his "bike" in all weather and didn't let a little snow get in his way. In addition to his love of motorcycles, he was an archery enthusiast.
In addition to his wife, Digger is survived by his brother Claude Wells and his wife, Cindy, of New Hampshire and his brother Allen Wells, of Peabody.
Visitation will be held at Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St, Salem, (corner of North Street), Salem, MA, on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 4pm-8pm. A funeral service will be held at Murphy Funeral Home at 11am on Thursday, May 11, 2017.Visits: 0
