Daniel Mark Rielly, 57, loving husband of Susan and father of Caitlin passed away December 2nd, 2015 at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers. Dan was the son of the late Thomas M. Rielly and Noreen (Bower) Rielly. He was raised and educated in Somerville, MA. Graduated from Somerville High in 1976. After High School he attended Peterson's School of Engineering and worked his way up to First Class Operating Engineer at General Electric. He had a successful career at GE that lasted 32 years.
Dan was a devoted husband and loving father, and enjoyed traveling.
In addition to his wife Susan, and daughter Caitlin, Dan is survived by his mother Noreen; his brothers Thomas Rielly and his wife Jody of Reading, Stephen Rielly and his wife Joanne of Somersworth, NH; his sisters Miriam and her husband Greg Brown of Woburn; Jennifer and her husband Paul McMahon of Waltham; Bridget and her husband Enic Plaisir of Lowell; and a very large extended family.
His Funeral will be held from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St.) Salem on Monday December 7th at 10AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church 156 Federal St. Salem, MA at 11AM . Calling hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday, December 6th from 3 to 8pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers the family would like to ask that contributions be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
