Daniel "Danny" Terence Niall Forsythe, age 54 of Marblehead, husband of Katharine Mary (Dain) Forsythe, with whom he has shared 25 wonderful years, died at home, Monday May 20, 2013 surrounded with the love of his family.

Danny was born in 1958 in Belfast to Harry and Elizabeth Forsythe. He had a special fondness for his grandmother, Annie Adalaide Helen Forsythe, who instilled in him the values he carried with him for the rest of his life. He attended Portadown College and graduated from Queen's University Belfast Having Qualified as a Chartered Accountant his career took him from Northern Ireland to Bermuda and on to Boston.

He met his wife, Kathy, in Bermuda and they shared 25 wonderful years together. They settled in Marblehead in 2001 which is where they chose to raise their family.

A constant feature throughout Danny's life was his love of rugby, both as a player and a keen supporter of his national team Ireland.

Danny is survived by his wife Kathy, and their two children Harry and Nathalie; His surviving relatives in the United Kingdom including his mother Elizabeth, his brother Paul and his two sisters Avril and Lucille, along with his much loved nephews and nieces, Jenny, Isobel, Sam, Katie M, Katie B, Jack, Hattie, Ben, Rebecca and Joe.


His funeral will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 10:15 AM to be followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM in the Old North Church, Washington St, Marblehead. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Waterside Cemetery will be private.
