It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Daniel (Danny) J Machado.

Born on May 10, 1970, Danny was raised in Salem by his parents, Valquiria and Daniel, and his younger twin siblings, David and Danise. Growing up, Danny served as an altar boy at Our Lady of Fatima and was a member of the Portuguese Banda Recreative of Peabody for many years playing the French horn. As he got older, Danny became the life of the party amongst his friends and never passed on a fun adventure.

In his free time, Danny enjoyed playing darts with friends, rooting for the Boston sports teams, playing Fantasy sports, and spending time with his family and friends. Danny was an avid reader and could also be seen with a new book in his hand. Those that were close to him, knew he had the biggest heart but was not afraid to speak his mind.

Danny is survived by his daughter Kiara Kauler and her fiancé Nicholas O'Leary of Derry,NH; parents Valquiria (Espinola) and Daniel C Machado of Salem; his sister Danise and husband Eddie Mendonca; his brother David and wife Sandra Machado; his nieces and nephews Joshua Mendonca, Veronica Mendonca and her partner Andre Noonan, Michael Machado, and Matthew Machado. He also leaves behind many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
