Obituary
Salem – Dana Edward Callahan, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on September 23, 2016 at Northshore Medical Center in Salem, MA. Born in Tewksbury, he was the Son of Giovannina "Nina" (Criscuoio) Welch and the late Robert Francis Callahan. He was a lifelong union bricklayer for Local 1 in Boston.
He is survived by his loving wife Norma (Giadone) Callahan and son James of Salem, MA as well as his mother Nina Welch of NH, his sister Michelle of NH, his step daughter Heather and his husband Josh, her stepson DJ and his wife Annie and five grandchildren.
Visiting hours for Dana will take place on Friday September 30, 2016 from 4 to 7PM with a memorial service at 5PM at The Salvation Army, 93 North St, Salem, MA 01970, and a collation to follow the service. In lieu of flowers please consider making a memorial contribution to The Salvation Army. Arrangements are under the direction of the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. (corner of North St.) Salem, MA 01970.
