Clara E. (Guerette) (Kacherian) Barry age 94, wife of John Barry and the late Levon Kacherian who predeceased her in 1989, died July 16, 2015surrounded by her family. Born in Marblehead, the daughter of the late Francis and Exilda (Michaud) Guerette, she was raised and educated in Salem, and later resided in Heartland, Maine. She later moved to North Pownal, VT for several years. She later returned to Salem where she and her husband have lived more recently. She was accomplished in crotchet and needle work and was also was mechanicly inclined. She further cleansed homes for families on Loring Ave in Salem for years and was also the Assistant Manager in downtown Salem for Woolworths Department Store for many years in Salem as well.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons, Ronald Kacherian and his wife Florence of Salem and Levon Kacherian and his wife, Beth of Salem; Six grandchildren, Cheryl Levesque, Scott Kacherian, Ronda Kacherian, Lori Mack, Jerry Kacherian, and Amy Nightingale and her husband Richard; and nine great grandchildren, Kaden , Dylan Nightingale, Mikali and Colin Mack, Madison, Paige, Kacherian, Zachary, Josh,and Ryan Levesque and many nieces and nephews . She was predeceased by two sisters, Sally Kokoras, and Jeannette Hussey, and three brothers, Cass Guerette, Frank Guerrette, and Armand Guerrette.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 11:30 A.M in the Murphy Funeral Home 85 Federal St, Salem. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:30 A.M to 11:30 A.M. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
