Salem…….
Christos Agesilios. Hantzis age 18, son of Triantafillos and Cynthia (Roussopoulos) Hantzis died at home in Salem unexpectedly Saturday morning, January 30, 2010.
Born in Boston, Christos had been raised in Salem and had attended the Consortium School in Danvers. He later attended Salem's Horace Mann Elementary School, the Collins Middle School and was currently an honor roll Junior at Salem High School.
A wonderful loving son, brother and grandson, he enjoyed video games and was a great sports fan of the Red Sox and the Bruins. . Christos also knew all the stats of all the Boston Red Sox players as well those of the teams and players in the Major Baseball League.
In addition to his parents he is survived by a brother Agesilios Dimitri. Hantzis of Salem; two sisters Eleni Jean Hantzis of Salem and Vasiliki Hantzis; his maternal grandparents Christos and Jean Roussopoulos of Beverly; his paternal grandmother Eleni Hantzis of Sparta, Greece and a large extended family.
His funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 A. M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem to be followed by Funeral Services at 10:00 A.M. in St Vasilios Church, 7 Paleologos St., Peabody, MA 01960. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Murphy Funeral Home. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
