Salem…..
Christopher Steven West, age 7, of Salem, a normal and active seven year old who adored his mother, Diana E. West of Salem and always answered her call, died unexpectedly on Wednesday February 9, 2011 from complications due to strep pneumonia in Massachusetts General Hospital Boston.
He was born in Salem October 20, 2003 and was a first grade student at the Bates School in Salem where he had many friends and was enjoyed by his teacher. Most recently when his family was gathered for Christmas, he wouldn't go home until he had made thank you notes for everyone and had given them a hug. Although he looked up to many people in his life, Christopher, who had many special nicknames, idolized "Sponge Bob".
Christopher is also survived by his father, Franklin Deleon of Salem; his mother's companion Tim Harrington of Saugus; his aunts and uncles Natasha and Brad West who also lived with him, and Jessica Deleon of Salem and Jennifer Smith of Atlanta, GA; his grandmothers Paula West of Salem and Almerinda "Ali" Lima of Peabody; his grandfather Franklin Deleon, Sr. of Salem and two great grandmothers Maria Lima of Peabody and Merline Schommer of Taylorville, IL.
