IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Christo
Dadasis
December 29, 1922 – January 22, 2021
Christo Dadasis, 98, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2021. Loved and cherished by his family, Christo was born in Lowell, MA, on December 29, 1922, to George and Alexandra (Gianakopoulos) Dadasis. He was a lifelong resident of Salem, MA.
Christo, a Salem High School graduate, enlisted in the US Army on December 30, 1942 and served his country honorably for the duration of World War II. Following his tour of duty, he returned home and graduated from the Bentley School of Accounting and Finance in 1947. He spent his career as a Certified Public Accountant. He joined the Simmons, Shannon, Donovan, and Brady Accounting firm as a Junior Accountant. Hard work and an exceptional mathematical mind led Christo into a partnership, and eventually he went on to open his own office. He was a practicing CPA until the day that he passed away.
Always hard at work in his home office, Christo was happy to offer advice or look over something whenever needed. He enjoyed traveling to Greece to visit his relatives, walking up to Bertram Field for the Thanksgiving Day game against Beverly, dining out with his companion Debi at the Hawthorne Hotel, watching the Red Sox, and keeping an eye on the latest developments around Salem. Christo was a stately man of great character and integrity. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered for his steadfastness, bright eyes and big laugh.
Christo is survived by his dear companion Debi Chloodian of Lynn, his first cousins Athena (Demas) Nickole of Saugus, and Esther Anton of Peabody, his goddaughter Elena Andreadakis of Oakland, CA, his godson Theodore Nickole of Saugus, the Alexakos family of NH and many cousins locally and in Greece who loved him dearly. He is predeceased by his parents, his loving sister Despina Dadasis, and many other loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, where Christo was a member of faith for his entire life.
