After a lengthy illness, Christine E. Vallis, 71, born March 20, 1953 in Marblehead, MA passed away peacefully at the Hunt Nursing Home in Danvers, MA surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved daughter of the late George P. Vallis, Esq and Janice (Whalen). Chris had a generous spirit of heart. She volunteered many hours to local shelters and food pantries in the towns of Beverly, Salem and Ipswich. Educated in the Salem public school system she focused her studies towards community outreach services. As Salem High School class president, she led the first all-female officers board her senior school year for the SHS Class of 1971. After graduation, she attended Syracuse University as a journalist major. Each summer returning to her job at the Salem Evening News.
Christine was a loving partner, sister, aunt and friend. Her spiritual life was essential in helping her overcome life's challenges. She is predeceased by her life partner, James (Jimmy) Hale of Beverly. She leaves behind Jimmy's mother, Rochelle, her siblings, John, Connie and Maria (Steve), her much loved nieces and nephews, Anna (Michael), Samuel (Kristy), Sophia, Olivia, George and grand-nephew Torben.
