Charles "Charlie" Bryan Burns, son of D. Bryan and Elizabeth M. (Tierney) Burns of Marblehead, died unexpectedly Saturday November 1, 2008, in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.

In addition to his parents, Charlie is survived by his three and a half year old brother Benjamin Patrick Burns of Marblehead, maternal grandparents Beverly and Thomas Tierney of Newburyport; paternal grandparents Margo and James Atherholt of Lady Lake, FL and his aunts and uncles Thomas Tierney and his wife Susan of Newburyport, Robert Tierney of Danvers, Paula Tierney of Saugus and Elyse Bender and her husband Keith of Tampa, FL.

Private funeral services followed by interment in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead were under the direction of the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., Salem.
