Catherine Mary Lenahan, age 65, passed away peacefully July 24, 2017.  She was born to the late Joseph and Mary Chojnacki on June 6, 1952.

Catherine graduated Doherty Memorial High School with honors.  She decided to join the work force after high school.  She enjoyed several managerial positions in the food service industry- Friendly's being her greatest career success.  She enjoyed helping others and making people smile.  She enjoyed bowling, tennis and camping.  She also enjoyed going to the beach with a Stephen King novel.

She was survived by her two children Laura and Joseph Lenahan of Worcester.  She has two sisters Joann Shoup of CT and Toni Chojnacki of Worcester.  She has a niece Amy Defeudis of Worcester and a nephew Peter McLam of Charlton.  She has one granddaughter Rhane Lenahan of Worcester.

Catherine died peacefully with her daughter by her side at the North Shore Medical Center of Salem, MA.  The family appreciates care and compassion each staff member provided Catherine .  The family also is grateful for the Murphy Funeral Home of Salem, MA.

Any future services will be private.  In lieu of flowers Catherine would be honored to have a donation made in her name to the Abby House Women's Shelter of Worcester, MA - www.abbyshouse.org
