Catherine was born June 30, 1959, in Beverly and grew up in Danvers. She had a lifelong dream of being a singer and held music close to her heart throughout her life. In the early 1990's she moved to Arizona where she was able to spend time with her horses, her favorite animal since childhood. She was kind to everyone she would meet, taking her natural ability of gentleness and love into her work as a CNA in her adult life. The only thing stronger than her love for animals was her love for her family, especially her two children, Melissa and Ruben.

Catherine is survived by her children Melissa Delude and Ruben Hughes, as well as her 4 grandchildren, Robert Ivan, Ryan, Alexis, and Joseph, all of whom she loved dearly and thought of often. In addition to her immediate family, she will be missed terribly by her 3 sisters and many  nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Service will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal Street, Salem on Friday at 11 a.m.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
