IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol A
Santerre
April 5, 1949 – October 2, 2018
On Monday October 2, 2018, Carol Ann (Savoy) Santerre passed away peacefully after a long hard journey with ovarian cancer.
Carol was born in 1949 in Biddeford, Maine to Leopold Savoy and Ruth (Jameson) Gould also of Saco, Maine. Carol was the loving wife of Stephen Joseph Santerre for 48 years and 2 months as they raised their three children together; Lisa Simone Santerre, Christopher Joseph Santerre, and Aimee Lynn Santerre. Carol was also the loving grandmother to four grandchildren; Trevor Jason Noelle, Dalton Luis Santerre, Joseph Christopher Santerre, and Kayleigh Alexis Santerre.
Carol was a homemaker while she raised her children throughout their youth. Once they grew up, she went onto work for Goodwives Hors D'oeuvres, which was based out of Marblehead and Lynn. Later in life, she went onto work for Shubie's Marketplace in Marblehead where she continued to share her passion of cooking with her community. Above all her passions and hobbies, her loving husband, children, and grandchildren were her most important parts of her life.
Carol will be remembered for her selflessness as she always said, "I don't want to be a burden" and "Someone else is worse off than I am". During her battle with Ovarian Cancer, she maintained her positive attitude and was always grateful for what she had instead of dwelling on what she didn't have.
