Carol E. (Crean) Michaud, age 87 years, wife of the late Gilbert J. Michaud, died Monday morning June 24, 2019 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.   Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph L. and Elsie (Mann) Crean.  She was raised in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.

Carol started her career with the New England Telephone Company, continued with Sylvania making light bulbs at the Sylvan Street, Danvers Plant and retired from Dr. Burnham Lamkins office where she was an office assistant.   She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved her family and enjoyed being with them as often as she could.  Carol enjoyed yoga and had practiced for many years.  She was also a member of the Salem Garden Club and loved working in her gardens.

Surviving her are her children, Jon  Skerry and his wife Rebecca of Salem, Patti Skerry – Julian of Salem and Scott Michaud and his companion Leslie Richardson of West Yarmouth, her sister, Susan Feit and her husband Dr. Stephen Feit of Pocatello, ID, her grandchildren Jacquelyn and David Julian, Kathleen Skerry and her husband Nick Tsolakis and Annie Skerry, her great grandchild Holden Crosby and many nieces and nephews. Carol leaves many beloved cousins and their families, along with several in-laws who she always loved and many friends and co-workers along with her friends at the Salem Garden Club and the John Bertram House.  She was predeceased by her brothers Peter Crean and William Doherty.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St, corner of North St, Salem .  Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.  Burial will be held privately.  For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Federal St, Danvers, MA  01923.  For additional information or online guest book please call 978-744-0497 or visit www.MurphyFuneralHome.com .
