Salem- Carol Ann Marchi, 77, of Salem sadly passed away on February 17, 2019 leaving this world after a long period of declining health. Devoted wife of the late Richard E. Marchi and the loving mother of Sheryl Schneider and her husband Jeff of Claremont NH; Eileen Marcelonis of Salem, MA, adored step-mother to Daniel Marchi of Merrimack, NH, Diane Blackwell and her husband Kevin of Chester, NH. She also leaves behind her loving sisters Peggy Cosetta, Kathleen McLaughlin, Linda Bollinger. She was predeceased by her sisters Phyllis Warren and Eileen McDonough, Marie Coveney, and her brother William Lawson. She was the loving grandmother to 7 beautiful grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and forever a friend to many.

Born in South Boston at home, she was a beautiful Christmas baby (Christmas Carol). Later, as an adolescent, she moved to Philadelphia with her family where she would often reminisce of her glory days of dancing on American Band Stand and seeing Elvis Presley.

She later moved back to Southie, where she married and raised her family before moving to Salem, MA, where she re-married the love of her life. She was a proud volunteer of Catholic Charities. She was an avid reader with a great sense of humor. She was also a Fashionista who always dreamed of being a designer. Above all, she was a loving and charismatic person.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday February 21, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, located at 85 Federal St. Salem. Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Murphy Funeral Home, located at 85 Federal St. Salem.
