Obituary
Salem – Carmela Saunders, age 48, passed away Tuesday August 2, 2016 at NSMC-Salem Hospital. Born at Salem Hospital on November 25, 1967, she was the daughter of the late BettyAnn Saunders. She went to Salem High School. She enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her five children, Matthew R. Steeves of Malden, Savannah L. Steeves of Salem, Adam N. Steeves of Peabody, Tiffani A. Mejia of Bakersfield, CA and Skye R. Steeves of Salem, two grandchildren, Jovaun Steeves and Jayda Steeves and her sister Christine Pruitt of Salem.
Her services will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St.) Salem on Sunday August 7, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Memorial contributions may be made to The Carmela Saunders Scholarship Fund, c/o Marblehead Bank, 125 Canal St., Salem, MA 01970 for the benefit of her daughter Skye R. Steeves schooling.
