Carlos J. Correia, age 53, husband of Arminda (Quaresma) Correia, died at home in Peabody early Saturday morning, January 8, 2011. He had resided in Portugal for most of his life and had recently moved to Peabody.
He was born in Pacos de Serra, Portugal, the son of the late Luis Pinto Correia and the late Inocencia Natividade. Once completing his education he had worked in construction for many years in Portugal and later he taught his son Paulo his many skills.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children Paulo and Maria Correia of Peabody and his brothers and sisters living in Portugal.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St (cor of North St) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Walsh Ave, Peabody, MA 01960. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Monday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M in the Murphy Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
