Calvin Dennis Hamson, 76, passed away on Tuesday February 27, 2018 after a brief illness. Calvin was born and raised in Marblehead and was the son of Arthur and Helen Hamson.

Calvin grew up attending the public schools in Marblehead where he graduated in 1959 where he then entered the Navy where he served for 4 years where he was involved in the Bay of Pigs.

When he arrived back home, he met the love of his life Freda Hamson, married in September 7, 1962 and they lived in Swampscott for 10 years. He later moved to Salem with his wife and family.

Calvin worked for Paine and Webber, Shearson and Hammill, and Brown Brothers for over 25 years. He was inducted into the Quarter Century Club as well.

Calvin is survived by his loving wife Freda Hamson (Hinch), his two children Pennie Fraczek and her husband Alex, Allan Hamson and his wife Alex; his five grandchildren Dannielle, Allison, Chris, Melissa, and Aliya; and four great grandchildren.

ARRANGEMENTS: A celebration of life will be held on Sunday March 4 ^th , 2018 at the VFW Hall in Marblehead located on 321 W Shore Dr, Marblehead, MA 01945 at 1:00 PM.
