Obituary

Peabody – Bruce Francis Robinson, born January 31, 1947, son of the late Heman A. and Mildred K (Eccleston) Robinson, died Thursday, August 4, 2022.  Husband of Patricia A. Rocci from Salem and Peabody, and the late Susan B. MacDonald formerly of Providence and West Warwick, RI.

Bruce attended Rhode Island Schools and graduated from John F. Deering High School in the class of 1965.  He continued his education graduating from Rhode Island Community College in the class of 1967 with a degree in science and business.  After receiving his Associates Degree, he graduated from the New England Institute of Anatomy and Sanitary Science for Embalming and Funeral Directing in Boston with the class of 1968.

He was employed by Woodlawn Funeral Homes and Elliott Robbins Funeral Homes in Rhode Island before being drafted into the United States Army, serving honorably in Vietnam in the Infantry and Graves Registration.

Upon returning from the military, Bruce married Susan B. MacDonald in 1972 until her passing in 1986.  In 1990, Bruce obtained his Massachusetts Embalming and Funeral Directing License.  He then moved to Massachusetts in 1992 and married Patricia A. Rocci.  Bruce worked for the Murphy Funeral Home and completed 40 years in Funeral Service retiring in 2010.

Bruce enjoyed searching his genealogy, antiquing, and gardening.  The Episcopal Church was his other true love.  Bruce became an Episcopalian in 1992 and served in 2 churches in Massachusetts before becoming a member of Saint Paul's Church in Lynnfield.

In addition to his wife Patricia A. Rocci, he leaves his beloved niece Chelsea Gallo  of Cranston RI her husband Michael and great nephew Antonio and great niece Trinity.

Bruce's Funeral will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 127 Summer Street, Lynnfield, MA.  Interment will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022, at Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd, ProvidencHe leaves his beloved niece Chelsea Gallo  of Cranston RI her husband Michael and great nephew Antonio and great niece Trinity.e, RI.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Paul's Episcopal Church Lynnfield, MA 01940.  For additional information or online guest book please call 978-744-0497 or visit www.MurphyFuneralHome.com .
