Bruce R. Pappas, age 57, formerly of Salem died at Kaplan Family Hospice House on Sunday, March 30, 2014 following a brief illness.

He was born and raised in Salem, the son of the late Stephen and Frances (Salvo) Pappas.

Bruce loved his music, he was a friend to many he was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by 4 brothers Stephen Pappas of Tewksbury, Robert Pappas of Haverhill, Charles Pappas of Rochester NH, and Tony Salvo of Texas; 5 sisters, Janice Murphy of  Ipswich, Kathleen Mahoney of Peabody, Sharon Sheldon of Lynn, Joan Curran of New Hampshire, Jean Bacigalupo of Greeenfield.

He was predeceased by his sister Deborah Maneiro and a brother Dominic Pappas

His funeral will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at 9:15 A.M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North  St) Salem to be followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M in St. James Church, Salem.   Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery,   Salem.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Care Dimentions, 75 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
