IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bruce R.
Bedard
May 30, 1947 – November 16, 2025
It's with deep sadness, we share that Bruce Bedard, born in Salem, MA and resident of Groveland, passed peacefully in his sleep on November 16, 2025, with his devoted dog Nia by his side, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Bruce was a proud blue-collar worker and retiree of General Electric in Lynn, where he did everything from construction to welding on aircraft engines.
He was the beloved father of Michael Bedard and his wife, Julie, and the proud grandfather of Coby, Brooks, and Casey Bedard of Georgetown. Son of Lillian Papalegis, Bruce is also survived by his siblings Jeanne Dullea of Naples, FL; Walter Papalegis of Saint Albans, ME; and Todd Papalegis of Vero Beach, FL.
Bruce loved "his" people —whether he was taking Nia for walks or drives around the neighborhood or talking cars during his frequent visits to his favorite dealership. He was always laughing, and storytelling. He loved working out and took tremendous pride in caring for his yard and home. His greatest joy was watching his grandkids play hockey; he would spend hours every weekend cheering for them.
The family is forever grateful for the compassionate care and support Bruce received at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute { https://danafarber.jimmyfund.org/site/Donation2?df_id=2100&mfc_pref=T&2100.donation=form1} .
Services will be held Monday, November 24 from 3PM to 6PM.
Bruce's humor, and unwavering love for his family will be carried forward by all who knew him.
